Pallas dispenses Rybelsus® through US-licensed pharmacies on a cash-pay basis. Insurance routing is not currently supported. Eligibility is determined by a licensed clinician based on your intake and clinical history.

Dosing
Dosing & schedule
Rybelsus® is taken once a day and follows the label's step-up schedule. Your clinician sets the pace of escalation based on your indication and how you tolerate it.
- Days 1–303 mg once daily, a starting dose for tolerability (not effective for glycemic control)
- Days 31–607 mg once daily
- Day 61+7 mg maintained, or 14 mg once daily if additional glycemic control is needed, per clinician judgment
Safety
Important safety information
GLP-1 medications can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal discomfort, particularly during dose increases. Rare but serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury from dehydration, and — based on animal studies — a possible risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. Patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2) should not use these medications. Always disclose your full medical history to your clinician. Rybelsus® carries a boxed warning for the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors and is contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2; the full FDA-approved prescribing information is available from Novo Nordisk.

Rybelsus® is the brand name for the FDA-approved oral semaglutide tablet manufactured by Novo Nordisk for type 2 diabetes. It's taken as one tablet, once a day, in the morning on an empty stomach.
Rybelsus® is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes, and a US-licensed clinician may prescribe it off-label for weight management when it's clinically appropriate for you. If weight is your main goal, your provider can also walk you through Wegovy®, the semaglutide product from the same manufacturer that's FDA-approved specifically for chronic weight management.
Both contain semaglutide and both are FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes. Rybelsus® is a daily tablet; Ozempic® is a once-weekly injection pen. Novo Nordisk now also sells Ozempic® tablets, which are not mg-for-mg interchangeable with Rybelsus®. Your clinician and your pharmacy tell you which product and strength you receive and how to take it.
Take it in the morning on an empty stomach with no more than 4 ounces of plain water, swallowed whole. Then wait at least 30 minutes before your first food, beverage, or other oral medications of the day. Your prescription comes with full instructions, and your care team can answer questions anytime.
